Intersectional Matter was an artistic research project at the Berlin University of the Arts. It was founded at the beginning of 2019 as a cooperation between the Class for Time-Based Media and Performance, the Institute for Art in Context (IfKiK) and the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin (HZT). Together and in exchange with each other, we aimed to address the questions: What is intersectionality? What constitutes intersectional discrimination and what does it mean to think and act intersectionally? Numerous workshops, lectures and events during the summer and winter semesters 2019/2020 at the UdK. The sitting bags made by the participants of the project „It Will Be“ were used to create the safer space at the seminar spaces at Salzufer.
